The Long Leg

Well, here we are, sitting in Milestone's pub, after security at Vancouver International Airport, happier than two pigs in a poke... The wait is finally over. The dishes are done, the house is tidied and the cats are fed. The cat sitter is hired, the bills are paid, the lights are on and the vehicles are in the driveway. Everything is as organized as we can make it. Now it's time to start enjoying our 44 days away. The Seair flight was nice but Mark gouged his shin badly when he took my suitcase out of Mumsy's van at the Nanaimo terminal. Hopefully it won't take 3 weeks to heal.

So, here we are....We got our luggage checked no worries. We were early for check in but they took it all in the first class line. One bag was .4 kilograms over the weight limit and we would have had to pay $100.00 if we couldn't have switched up a case of CD's into Mark's suitcase.. But it will only cost us $70.00 for the extra suitcase on the way home. We asked. Go figure.. I am amazingly calm. Not sure why. Mark is calm and things are going smoothly. It will be a very long flight but I am embracing it as a wonderful part of the whole travel adventure. Well I say that now, lol. I hope everyone stays safe and healthy... We don't want any bad news. There will be nothing we can do and it would just ruin our long awaited trip. So, for now, take care everyone and we'll write again Tuesday (AEST). Thanks for reading.
