Coober Pedy SA

Coober Pedy - the aboriginal term for -  "white fella in a hole"....

Coober Pedy was not really what I had expected it to be... Instead, it was a desolate, bleak, hot and dusty hole. It was stinking hot and the flies were almost unbearable!!!  When we first arrived in town and saw two people with nets over their hats and heads we both almost laughed and said what a couple of sissys they were... We bought nets about an hour later.... Seriously....
Nasty.....

The is the round about at the top of the main street. You will see this if you Google Earth Coober Pedy.
