Port Augusta SA

We stayed only one night in Broken Hill and then headed off to Port Augusta. Port Augusta was very hot, and thankfully it is situated on the shoreline of the ocean in a small gulf that enters part of the town.
We enjoyed the heat entirely by going for a swim in the ocean, followed by a dip in the cold pool. We had dinner and then went for a splash in the pool again before bed. Only later on did we learn that sharks are commonly found in the gulf that we had been swimming in...
It was so hot!!!  And also, the thing with the flies started.... Nasty!!!
Pictures to follow in a few days.

Long, long, long road to nowhere......Port Augusta to Coober Pedy actually.

How about this for cool?  The making of a continent, sedimentary layers from time unknown. The beach at Port Augusta.
